This privacy policy sets out how Editorial & Pictures Services Ltd trading as edpic (hereafter 'edpic') uses personal information that you supply. This information includes such things as your name, address, telephone number and email addresses. and is generally referred to throughout this page as "your information"). It applies to personal information collected from you.
This page sets out the privacy policy of edpic and how edpic and any companies affiliated with edpic may use personal information (meaning any information about you which is personally identifiable like your name, address, telephone number and email address.
edpic collects your information when you provide it (for example, when you provide information about yourself on an online form when taking part in a competition or a promotion) and when you register for edpic services using any registration services that are made available to you.
edpic may use the information you provide in order to process requests or orders, to enter you into competitions or promotions which you have indicated you want to enter, to identify personal preferences and to match your needs with relevant services or products that we or any affiliates or third parties may wish to offer you.
The information you provide to edpic via online registration may be used to provide you with access via your name and password to website(s) run by edpic or other third parties, to enable you to enter competitions on the website(s) using your user name and password, to post messages on the message board, to sign up to receive newsletters and to set up a personal profile on the website(s).

- to communicate with you from time to time by email and (where you provide edpic with those details either via the website(s) or elsewhere) by mobile (using SMS or, if your mobile device permits, EMS or MMS messages or similar technologies) and occasionally by post, with information, offers and other material which may interest you;
- to make your information available from time to time to trusted partners and third parties, for the same purposes as above;
- to conduct market research, for example to ask you to participate in a survey about topical issues, conducted by edpic or trusted partners or third parties. We will always try to tell you before you participate in the survey how any information you provide in the survey will be used; or
- to enable edpic and third parties acting on our behalf to analyse your information, in a non identifying form, (generally in the form of statistics), so that we can identify trends about usage of our website(s) or services and improve them.
Additionally edpic reserves the right to access and disclose your personal information in order to comply with applicable laws, to comply with lawful requests from governments, law enforcement agencies or parties whose request we reasonably consider to be justified in connection with any allegations by any party about your abuse of our services, to operate our systems properly or to protect ourselves or our users.
Like many websites edpic use 'cookies'. Cookies are small text files saved to your computer and used to track user navigation around the website(s). edpic may use a third party advertising company to serve ads when you visit our website(s). When subscribing to any mobile/ SMS service by SMS message, the return SMS message will usually give you details of how to unsubscribe to that particular service. The unsubscription will be charged at standard text rates.
You may unsubscribe from any mobile/SMS service provided by edpic, including reverse billed premium rate services by replying to an information message with the word 'unsubscribe' or 'stop' at any time. It is important to note that replying with ‘unsubscribe' or 'stop' may result in you being removed from all our mobile/SMS services.
We have taken steps to make sure that your information is secure, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our database servers, as well as electronic security systems and password protections that guard against unauthorised access.
While we strive to protect personal information, edpic cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to edpic or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk.
In the event that edpic sells or otherwise disposes of some or all of its business to another party, we reserve the right to transfer your information as part of any assets sold or disposed of.
Any changes to this policy that materially affects how edpic uses your information will be posted on this page. edpic therefore encourages users to be responsible about their own privacy and to check this policy from time to time and to update their preferences.
