StarPonyz.com for the teen market

Responding to the demand for online community-based websites and a gap in the teen horseriding market, edpic designed and created StarPonyz.com for sports marketing agency ENS.

StarPonyz.com, the UK's newest and most sophisticated website dedicated to the world of horse and ponies.

Targeted at the hugely committed teen girl horse and pony-mad market, StarPonyz.com offers a unique social networking service as well as ShowPonyz, a cutting-edge and fun interactive horse and pony builder.

The Tackroom is StarPony's web profile zone and it enables users to create their own web pages and interact with other horse and pony fans in chat forums. Equine enthusiasts will also be able to post information and comments on bulletin boards as well as vote on polls and pictures they have submitted.

ShowPonyz is an interactive 'click and choose' pony building viral application that allows users to construct and tack up their own fun pony or more formal horse. The user chooses everything from colour and style of the horse's coat, mane, tail and tack – and even has the chance to decide if their pony looks best with flowers in its mane or scooting about on roller-skates! Once constructed, the finished four-legged friend can be saved and then emailed to friends, posted as wallpaper or can become a personal calling card for users.

edpic's Creative Director Paul Wood said: "StarPonyz is brilliant fun for any horse and pony fan, giving unmatched interactivity and sophistication for an audience crying out for a quality web experience."

We have to agree with the enlightened view of Fox Mobile CEO Mauro Montanaro when he said: ‘There are two main differences today, which have hampered growth of (mobile) 1.0. Whatever is offered on 2.0 needs to be transparent and seamless and consumers need to understand what they are buying from the mobile content provider without any tricks.’ He also correctly said there must also be different content offered for mobile phones than found on other media.
